Don't think that it is coincidence that TBS put Deep Impact on TV tonight.
In comparison to the rather lackluster Republican debates tonight, a fictional, kick ass (at once reassuring and kind, the next minute telling the people that crimes "against people and property will be dealt with - harshly...") President made them all seem, well- petty.
Kudos to the brilliant strategist Fred Thompson, for not entering the race, yet. I watched some of the debate, and said, "Fred could answer that question with a simple glare..."
In my humble opinion, he won the debate and didn't even have to foot the bill for air fare to California.
He damn well better run...
